A Portrait from Another Century. Inspired by the Masters.
Ready for a portrait that transcends the digital age?
Step inside my Victorian Studio & Darkroom and take part in a kind of magic you won’t find anywhere else. Experience the Wet Plate Collodion process, the unique photographic technique invented in 1851 by Frederick Scott Archer.
The Experience
This is more than just a technique; it’s an intimate, slow-paced journey back to the era of groundbreaking artistry.
My work is deeply inspired by the ethereal beauty and soft focus of the great Julia Margaret Cameron—whose home I even had the privilege of exhibiting at last year
You’ll be sitting for a portrait created with the exact meticulous, historic process and lens that led me to win “Portrait of Britain 2023.” You’re not just commissioning a photograph; you’re securing a piece of art, a one-of-a-kind heirloomcrafted in the spirit of the Victorian masters, designed to be passed down for generations.
“I aim to capture your essence, not just your likeness.”
